Dear parents and students,

It's Fall, and another academic year has begun. It seems that the rhythm of life has hobbled back into sync. Classes in the Fall, though, will not begin until Tuesday, October 11. Just a slight delay. I appreciate your patience; though I myself am already missing the practice, and the classes.

Ahead of the new cycle, I would like to congratulate those who sat for their grade level tests in July and August, the first round of tests since the COVID lockdown - most notably Dr. Adrian Russell for Ni Dan, and Barbi Gillam for Sho Dan. "Sho Dan" refers to the beginning; a beginning that when striving to reach, requires patience and perseverance. You made it, congratulations, and congratulations to all who took their tests! I would also like to thank Emi Yokokawa (who sat for her 2nd Kyu test) for kindly liaising with Aikikai Hombu Dojo to pick up the mail, as there are still no postal services to Canada from Japan. Thank you, Emi.

It has been a most eventful couple of weeks. It has brought with it shifts, changes, new beginnings, and new chapters. I look forward to the year, for the experiences, and the challenges that will have to be faced. Time is certainly unrelenting. Thank you for the company on this journey. Here is the class schedule:
