Dear parents and students,
I hope summer is going well for you so far.
Our annual Aikido Warriors' Camp begins on Monday, July 20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bert Richman Building. Only 10 spots left.
If you have signed up for the weeklong camp, please remember to bring a water bottle filled with plain water (no soda pop drinks please), running/jogging shoes for the morning's warm up out in the field, snacks, and lunch. You do not have to bring your dogi for the camp. This is to keep it open and friendly for those who are new to Aikido and who do not have dogis to put on. You can, however, if you wish, to bring your own bokken and jo, if you have them. You may practice in a comfortable t-shirt and long gym pants. No shorts, please.
Also, this year, there will be Aikido classes in August. Classes will be twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 4 to August 27, making that eight classes in total. If you are in town, come join me and we will explore techniques and movements with weapons.
Do visit the website to review techniques, Aikido philosophy, or jo and bokken suburi and katas during the summer.
Thank you for your trust and for sharing this Aikido journey with me.
